Doing Business

Description

The index measures the systems that promote business and those that hinder it, within 10 areas facing entrepreneurs:

Index Calculation Mechanism

The index is calculated based on the number and complexity of the procedures, the time required to complete these procedures, the cost to the entrepreneur, as well as the laws and regulations that promote or impede the commencement of business.

Countries are ranked by giving the score of 0 (lowest performance) to 100 (the highest performance) for each of the area. Consequently, countries are ranked from 1 (most efficient) to 189 (least efficient) in those areas.
